CELEBRATE EARTH MONTH
Get involved and make a difference! Build your Earth Month bucket list:
Attend events like Tulsa Zoo’s Party for the Planet, SpringFest at Woodward Park, Enviro Expo, OKC Beautiful's Earth Fest, April First Thursday, Earth Day Celebration with 4 Native Women, and more wherever you may be for Earth Month this year!
Plant pollinator plants. Even a few can make a difference. Check out this list to find native plants for pollinators in your region. For this bucket list item, buy seeds, visit a nursery, or ask friends who have existing pollinator plants to do a plant swap and start a garden that gives back.
Start a green team at your workplace. Check out this link to learn how you can bring sustainability to your team culture and start tackling green initiatives with your colleagues.
Join the cleanup. Be stewards of our green spaces and waterways by joining a cleanup event this month, with various opportunities from April 1 - April 30. Sign up today!
Take public transportation instead of your car once a week this month. Show your community public transportation is worth investing in. Plan your first trip today!
Try out a plant based diet. You don’t have to do it perfectly! Try using this month as a tester for incorporating plant-based meals into your routine. Opt to go meatless for a few days each week or the full month to lower your carbon footprint and try new food that is good for your belly and the planet. Read more here.
Become a member of The Sustainability Alliance. Champion sustainability work directly this month by making a one-time or sustaining contribution to support our efforts, like this newsletter! Click here to join or make a donation.

CALLING ALL DOERS
After a successful First Steps pilot program in 2023, we are launching our first cohort in the fall of 2024. If your team is interested in participating in a service project, implementing new sustainability practices, learning more about environmental justice, or going all the way toward a carbon-neutral facility, we want you to be a part of our team. We will launch 3 cohorts this fall: Faith-based communities, nonprofits, and schools.
