Guest Speaker Rabbi Marc Boone Fitzerman, Rabbi of Counsel, The Synagogue Congregation B’nai Emunah

Educated in the brick-in-the-toilet-tank 1970s, Marc Fitzerman is now in his second round of sustainability activism. He led his congregation into the Scor3card program prior to COVID and has now

authored one of our new Sustainability Alliance programs, First Steps, a way of building out sustainability commitments in small businesses, not-for-profits, and the faith community.

Rabbi Fitzerman believes that the most important step in combatting environmental and social degradation is systemic reform by government and business.  But he also thinks that meaningful work can be accomplished by individuals and small groups. First Steps is a way of foregrounding incremental change as a public act of accountability.
Join us as you start your year off with meaningful action to improve your community. Learn how you can participate in this new program with The Sustainability Alliance and the simple actions that can lead to a weighty impact, Thursday, January 5, 2023.
