Corey Wren Williams
Corey Wren Williams brings to Oklahoma decades of experience in the environmental and sustainability fields. Ms. Williams is the Founder, Past President and Executive Director of Sustainable Tulsa. She works to oversee the strategic vision of both long-term and short-term and oversees daily goals and activities for Sustainable Tulsa. She has served as the Executive Director since 2006. Ms. Williams’ goal is that Tulsans embrace and practices sustainability every day!
Ms. Williams has co-chaired the Henry Bellmon Sustainability Awards in partnership with Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa since 2010. She served as the sustainability consultant to the Millennium Center for Green and Safe Living and the Langston University Tulsa Urban AG Connections Program Coordinator. Ms. Williams has received several awards including the 2010 Green Award for Sustainability from the Oklahoma State University Environmental Sciences Graduate Program, 2008 Millennium Center award from Tulsa Partners, 2008 Mayor’s Tulseys Green Award, and the 2008 Earth Day Hero from the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum and the 2006 Emily McCauley Award for Oklahoma Sustainability Impact. Ms. Williams is a native Tulsan and graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University, Arcata California, where she served as a Co-Director for Humboldt State University Campus Center for Appropriate Technology.
