Corey Wren Williams
Corey Wren Williams brings decades of experience in the environmental and sustainability fields. She is the Founder, Past President and Executive Director of The Sustainability Alliance. Corey oversees the strategic vision for both long-term and short-term goals, as well as the daily activity for The Sustainability Alliance. She has served as the Executive Director since 2006. Corey aspires for individuals and organizations to embrace and actively practice sustainability every day.
MEET COREY
Corey has been co-chairing the Henry Bellmon Sustainability Awards in partnership with the Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa since 2010. She has also served as the sustainability consultant to the Millennium Center for Green and Safe Living, as well as the Langston University Tulsa Urban AG Connections Program Coordinator. Corey has received numerous awards, including the 2010 Green Award for Sustainability from the Oklahoma State University Environmental Sciences Graduate Program, the 2008 Millennium Center award from Tulsa Partners, the 2008 Mayor’s Tulseys Green Award, the 2008 Earth Day Hero award from the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum, and the 2006 Emily McCauley Award for Oklahoma Sustainability Impact.
Corey is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, where she also served as a Co-Director for the University Campus Center for Appropriate Technology.
